Thomas Franklin Williams was born April 11, 1849, St. Simon Island, Georgia, and died on February 13, 1924 at Marianna, Florida. According to Zolena Williams Lee, he was the son of Billy and Louise Williams, but his death certificate listed his father as John Williams. He married Sophronia McClellan, daughter of Morrison Bonus and Nancy (McCranie) McClellan. Sophronia was born November 4, 1859 Worth, Lowndes County, Georgia, and died June 18, 1938 at Quincy, Florida. Thomas F. and Sophronia Williams moved from Tifton, Berrien County, Georgia to Cypress, Jackson County, Florida circa 1889. They are buried at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery. From post office in Chattahoochee, go on Hwy. 90E for 5.5 miles. Cemetery is on right side.
