SUMMARY:

Society of Friends London Meeting records and Cox family wills show that the male heirs of Thomas Cox, Vintner, with the surname Cox lived and died in England, not America. Thomas Cox, Vintner, had no surviving great-grandsons with the surname Cox.

Several men named Thomas Cox and John Cox appear in early Pennsylvania and New Jersey records. They can not be the legitimate sons, grandsons, or great-grandsons of this Thomas Cox of London, the very wealthy Quaker, Citizen, Vintner and Proprietor.
