Stacy (winkeye): Some time ago you sent me information on the family of William Coxhead of West Garafraxa in Wellington County, Ontario, Canada.

Through Census records, Obituaries, a Will and stories documented in history books, I have determined that William Coxhead's father was Caesar Coxhead, one of three brothers who came to Pilkington Township, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada in 1848 & 1849.
Caesar Coxhead, born 1818 in Oxfordshire, England was married to Sarah Stockford in England in 1839. They came to Canada in 1848. His father was also a "Caesar".....who died in his native England.
One of William Coxhead's brothers was Job, my husband's great grandfather. I have tracked both these brothers from Pilkington to West Garafraxa (Wellington County).
William's side of the family name survived only more two generations before the name died in 2002 with the death of Clifford. I have met one of Clifford's nieces....a woman I work with as a Volunteer at the Fergus (Wellington County) hospital. She has directed me to the site of the former homesteads' of William & Job....about 15 minutes from where we now live.
Job's side of the family......moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.......until his great grandson, Raymond, and myself, Joan, retired to West Garafraxa, now Centre Wellington in Wellington County.

3) William, Job and others - see Obituary of their brother, Caesar, as above. William's family as per the records provided by Stacy Clark: William was born in Pilkington and farmed there until 1874 when he bought a farm in West Garafraxa .
Job's Family: 1) Job was born in Pilkington. Married Martha Ann. Moved to West Garafraxa in 1876 (next to William's land).
2) One of his sons was Caesar, born in West Garafraxa 1880. Job & family moved to Toronto Caesar married Gertrude Duck Mar. 1903 in Toronto. Caesar died 1961. Gert died 1981 3) Three children –
Cecil Oct. 1903. One son Fred, who had two sons Brian & Bruce Gertrude
May 1906 married Stan Geary. Three children.... Stan, Ruth, David
Walter 1907 -1886. Married Florence Mumford Baird. Two boys:
4) Vernon 1931 married Margaret Hayes in 1960. Three children..Linda 1962, Doug 1963, Gregory 1974
Raymond (Vern's brother) 1936 married Joan Eickmeier (born Stratford 1938) in 1960. Two children...Kim 1962 married Glen Reeves in 1992....two boys....Shawn 1996 (Toronto) and Nathan 1998 (Port Perry). Kim's brother is Kevin 1963 married Nancy Prior in 1988 in Toronto. One son Matthew 1994 (Hamilton)

There is lots of information available at the Wellington County Museum & Archives (Ontario, Canada) on the Coxheads...starting from the three brothers who came from England to Pinkington Township in 1848 & 1849. However, I have not yet had the opportunity to look into this or try to follow it. Perhaps the person in Canada that you are referring to has already done this research.
I'm not sure what date of birth I gave you for Caesar. I may have given you 1890 but that date may not be exact. The date of death though (1961) is accurate.
I have forwarded this recent information to our children so that they know where to look for information.
