William M. Corns b. 1869 in Wayne Co., W.Va. married Sarah Ann Newman on May 11, 1889 in Wayne Co., W.Va. William is the son of James Corns and Lucretia Rutherford. Sarah Newman is the daughter of Preston Newman and Martha Walker of Wayne Co., W.Va.

James, father of William, was born in Land's End, England/Wales ca. 1837 and died in 1894. James married Lucretia on July 23, 1868 in Wayne Co., W.Va. Lucretia is the daughter of Elliot Rutherford and Vesty Adkins.
