Theodore Workman

As found in the Wayne County News Thursday, June 23, 1927

Theodore Workman of Fort Gay died Sunday of last week as a result of an injury he received Saturday.
He was working at a saw mill at Mann, W.Va. and was building a wall to enlarge the pond at the mill. While engaged in this work the old wall collapsed and fell on Workman, crushing both his legs below the knees. The acid water from the pond entered his wounds and caused gangrene to set up.
Mr. Workman was 24 years old. He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Usher Workman, four brothers and four sisters, Lace, Lucian, Henry, Huffman, Elizabeth, Ethel, Mrs. Al Daniels, & Mrs. James Massie.
He was buried last Wednesday in the Fairview Cemetary, in Fort Gay. Rev. Bryan conducted the services.
A very sad thing to note about this is that he is the third member of the family to die in less than 3 months.
