Samuel Osburn, 63 years old, of Lavalette, died in a Huntington hospital August 29, following an illness of less than a week of pneumonia. He is survived by the widow, and two daughters, Mrs. Noble Adkins, and Mrs. Gene Adkins, both of Lavalette; four brothers, Charley W. Osburn, of Lavalette, R. Jamison Osburn, of Newell, W.Va., Saunders Osburn, of Huntington, and Johnnie Osburn of Ardel; two sisters, Mrs. Mariah Jane Ross, of Wayne, and Mrs. Sarah Turner, of Lavalette. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Macedonia Baptist Church by Rev. Henry Mullens, with burial in the Bowen Cemetary.
