Lyda J. Trainer Workman
Marlinton - Mrs. Lyda J. Workman, 88, died Friday Dec. 21, at Nitro, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 25, 1902, at Neola, she was the daughter of the late John and Lucy Trainer.
Mrs. Workman was of Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elza Jack Workman.
Survivors include a son, John Workman of Charleston; three daughters, Lucy Puffenbarger of Nitro, Gracy Curry of Marlinton, and Eva Laigh Foster of Dunbar; two sisters, Olive Trainer of Neola, and Nellie Whitman of Covington, Va.; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the VanReenan Funeral Home in Marlinton with the Rev. Jay Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Mountainview cemetary in Marlinton.
Friends called Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m. and may call again today from 10 a.m until service time at the funeral home.
