Jackson County, Ohio Courthouse, in the Recorder's Office, in Deed Book B, page 34-35, Dated Nov. 24, 1830

"Article of an agreement made and entered into this 18th day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty between George Corn of Jackson County and State of Ohio of the one part and James Corn of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George Corn doth grant bargain(?) and sell unto the said James Corn all the property goods and effects of every description whatsoever that the said George Corn now owns or posesses together with the improvement that the said George Corn now lives on and the said James Corn doth covenant and agree to maintain and support the said George Corn and Dolly Corn his wife during their lifetimes, and the said James Corn doth further agree to furnish the said George Corn and Dolly Corn his wife in good warm deasant clothing and also to furnish them with plenty of good nurishing holsom provision during their natural lifetime and for the true performance of the above article we both bind ourselves jointly and severally in the sum of five hundred dollars each.
