He died in Ipswich, 16 Aug 1667 (Court Record). His nuncupative will was proved in Court at Ipswich, 24 Sep 1667, Whereby his wife (unnamed) was to have his estate. 23 Feb 1723, William Searle of Rowley gave bond as administrator de monis non of the estate "of his grandfather, William Searles, late of Ipswich deceased (Essex Probate)
