My Great Grandfather, Elijah B. Hammond, was born  May 13, 1860, in Dyer County, Tennessee.  Son of James (Jim or J.W. ??) and Mary (?) Hammond.


Elijah married Sarah "Sallie" McQuilliams, daughter of  Churchwell McQuilliams and Sarah "Sally" Rinehart, on 18 November 1879 in Point Remove Township, Conway County, Arkansas.  The couple moved around Conway Co, Yell, Co.  and Faulkner Co., before coming to live the rest of their lives in Howard Township, Conway Co. Arkansas, on Spring Street.


Elijah and Sallie  had fourteen children:

Elijah B. Hammond died 1946 and Sallie died in 1944, both are buried in the Plumerville Cemetery, Plumerville, Conway Co.,  Arkansas.
