     Records from Magnolia Cemetery, Augusta, Georgia mention: George Robinson--B111; buried 7/14/1869; merchant; died of Pneumonia; Male, died out of the city (wards of Augusta), Buried on full size section-New Extension-tombstone reads; George Robinson, only child of Capt. George Robinson, and his wife Lady Frances Cox, of Retlandshire, England. Born in Annapolis Royal, N.S, October 8, 1817, Died July 13, 1869, (51 yrs old).

Residence: "The Glen" near Hamburg, South Carolina was purchased in 1852 by Mr. George Robinson, who was in those days one of, if not the largest merchants doing business in the one time thriving town of Hamburg. Sold goods to merchants as far away as Athens, GA. Moved business to Augusta and became associated with the firm of Fleming and Rowland, Wholesale Grocers at 238 Borad Street, Augusta, GA.

Bio: Finished college and moved to Augusta to work for Mr. James Frasier, President of the Bank of Augusta. He moved to Hamburg and operated a hardware business.
