Illiopolis, Ill. - Mrs. Oscar U. Wright, 61, died at her home in Illiopolis at 2:50 p.m. Monday, March 15, 1937. Mrs. Wright was born northwest of Illiopolis, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Harbert, and resided on a farm in this community most of her life. She was first married to Walter Ridgeway, who died many years ago. Her second marriage was to Oscar Wright, who survives. She is also survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Ridgeway Dwyer and Miss Lucille Ridgeway of Elkhart; Mrs. June Griffith of Mount Pulaski; Mrs. Mabel Wright of Jacksonville; Alma, Agnes, and Phyllis Wright, at home; three sons, Raymond, Cecil, and Russell, all of Peoria; her mother, Mrs. Mary Harbert, living eight miles south of Mount Pulaski; two sister, Mrs. Wm. Combs, residing southwest of Mount Pulaski, and Mrs. Fannie Michaels, living eight
miles south of Mount Pulaski; and two brothers, Otis Harbert, of Edinburg, and Charles Harbert, of Illiopolis vicinity. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Copeland Christian Church, and interment was made in Carlyle Cemetery, four miles west of Mount Pulaski.

She was buried at Carlyle Cemetery, Mount Pulaski, Logan County, Illinois.

PASCHALL, EDNA EARLE, A lifelong resident of Mesquite. Edna Paschall died May 4, 2006. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Paschall was born to Luther and Edna Earle Harbin. She married Olin Paschall on July 28, 1940. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Arthur, and her sister, Martha Nell Carr. Living in close proximity to her place of birth for most of her life, she had deep roots in Mesquite. She enjoyed the heritage and people of the town. Edna Earle was an active member of First United Methodist Church and served its congregation well. She sang in the church Gospel Choir as well as a local choir known as Reflections. She loved time spent in craft clubs and gardening. Edna was also interested in politics and served as a volunteer at polling places for many years. Edna Paschall is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda & James Magee; grandchildren and spouses, Jerry & Sheri Jones, Holly & Mike Salyards, Shannon & Mike Collins; great grandchildren, Cameron Jones, Jacob & Emily Jones, Jessica & Jeff Giles, Bryan Lockhart, Heath Salyards, Tara Jane and Michael Collins; many other family members and friends. Service will be 10:00AM Saturday May 6, 2006 at First United Methodist Church, 300 N. Galloway, Mesquite, TX. 75149. Visitation with the family will be at New Hope Funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.

She was buried on 6. May. 2006 at Long Creek Cemetery, Sunnyvale, Dallas County, Texas.
