Died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday evening, May 27, 1911, at St. John's Hospital, Andrew Copeland of Berry, aged 58 years, 11 months, and 18 days.
The decedent is survived by his wife, Margaret Copeland; his son, Willis Copeland; and his daughter, Mrs. Florence Green, all of Berry.
The remains have been taken to the undertaking establishment of C. T. Branson, from where they will be sent to Mt. Pulaski, where the funeral will be held from the Christian church. Interment will be made in Steenbergen Cemetery.
He was buried at Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski, Logan County, Illinois.

Succumbs to Pneumonia After an Illness of One Week in Mt. Pulaski
Mrs. Louvina Jane Van Hook, wife of Uriah Van Hook, one of the wealthy and prominent retired farmers of Mt. Pulaski, died at her home in Mt. Pulaski at 11:115 o'clock p.m. Monday evening, Nov. 20, 1911, aged 62 years, 10 months, and 14 days. She was born and reared in Logan County southwest of Mt. Pulaski, on Jan. 6, 1848, and has resided in Mt. Pulaski and vicinity since that time.
She is the fourth in the Copeland family to die within a year and to be buried
in Steenbergen Cemetery near Mt. Pulaski. One sister, Mrs. George Jones, died at Rochester, Ill; two brothers, Andrew Copeland of Berry, and Amos Copeland, of Oxford, Kans., this last death occurring but a month ago.
The decedent had been in comparatively good health until a week ago when she was taken ill with a severe cold, which later developed pneumonia, and her son, Dr. H. M. Van Hook, who was spending several days in Chicago, was called home by her illness on last Wednesday. All the family were at her bedside during the last hours. She leaves her husband and five sons and one daughter, William Van Hook, of Austin township, Macon County; Dr. H. M. Van Hook, of Mt. Pulaski; Amos Van Hook, six miles southwest of Mt. Pulaski; Forest Van Hook, who attends Western College at Chicago; Wesley Van Hook at home; and Mrs. Edgar Ridgeway, residing also southwest of Mt. Pulaski.
The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock, Nov. 23, at the Christian church in Mt. Pulaski. The services will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. Newton Cole, assisted by Rev. D. A. Lindsay, of Latham.
Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, four miles southwest of Mt. Pulaski.
