David Nevius Bogart Enlisted as a soldier in the Confederate Army and was a prison guard at Salisbury, NC in 1861. He Was a memeber of the Regimental Band and was captured and marched to Camp Chase, Ohio. They were release on June 13, 1861 in Mar. 1861. He resided at at Washington, North Carolina. He married Mary Catherine Morton on 20. Oct. 1870. Col. David Nevius Bogart died on 28. Apr. 1893 at age 45; killed by being thrown from a horse. He On duty as a Lt. Colonel, First Regiment, NC State Guard at Newburn on 28. Apr. 1893.
