Martha Williams Fidler, daughter of
Frank Fidler and
Edith Williams, on 12. Oct. 1939 at Swedesboro, Gloucester County, New Jersey. Captain Joseph Fenton Yearicks died on 12. Oct. 2002 at Cape May, Cape May County, New Jersey, at age 88. He was buried at Tabernacle Methodist Cemetery, Erma, New Jersey.

Joseph Yearicks, called lovingly Fenton by his family, passed away in the North Cape Nursing Home in Cape May ,New Jersey. A private service was held at the grave site of The Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Erma. The church is located at 656 Seashore Road, Erma, New Jersey,08204. Fenton was eighty eight years old at the time of his death.
Captain Yearicks was born in Fishing Creek, and was a lifetime resident of the area. He worked the water all his life. As a young man he took parties on his sailboat "The Clov er", for the Chalfont Hotel of Cape May. He also ran the ' Polly Page'. He was the first independent boat captain for Snow Canning, starting in the beginning stages of commercial clamming.
Captain Yearicks was a member of the Fishing Creek Chapel until it joined with the Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Erma where he remained a lifetime member. He was a member of the Cape Island Masonic Lodge #30, F&AM, of Cape May.
Mr Yearicks was pre-deceased by his wife Martha Fidler in 1994. He is survived by a daughter Ruth Leo, and son-in-law John Leo of Cape May, a son, Joseph F. Yearicks, Jr. of Wyoming, six grandchildren, Amanda Brittingham, Kris Yearicks, Rachael Joyce, Katrina Knapp, Patience Vanaman, and Edward Leo, and thirteen great grandchildren.
