     Mariah Van Nest was also known as Mary Van Nest. Mariah Van Nest was born on 1. Dec. 1782 at New Jersey. She was the daughter of John Van Nest and Anny (Unknown). Mariah Van Nest married John Benjamin Griggs, son of Benjamin Griggs and Neeltje Lane, b 1800 at New Jersey. Mariah Van Nest died in Apr. 1826 at Jackson, Perry County, Ohio, at age 43. Walter Griggs has Maria Johnson. She was buried at Griggs Cemetery, Jackson, Perry County, Ohio.
