Search billions of records on Ancestry.com

Below is a search storage file which Ancestr.com creates per accont holder. Use the top tab styled "MyAncestry" ..fill out the menu with whatevr you have; then click 'search' ...any time you find and save a search (or pick one from the produced list per person search) ... you'll have a 'save' to 'My Ancestry' option.
This has been used during an Ancestry.com 'Free Trial'. [Of course it is trimmed down from the full panoply of Ancestry's sources [your tiers of membership options] but especially for censuses and existing 'peridgrees/family treees to share; and the varius no-coats record references - you may have adequate search satisfaction]

About the Free Trial. ... it is a free trial ... but remember to try and seek a confirmation b the end of the 14 day computer-clocked period. It may be necessary to communicate by specific e-mai form. Ancestry does not make it clear nor easy nor up-front to assure that a continuation did not occur [ie it may bill your account for a full year by computer clock before it communicates the option to continue. As there is no affirmative act [especially since omission to affirmatively choose 'no' to continuing the tentative subscription is not communicated] ... one would not be properly bound in contract. (So, assure yourself by telephone of a cancellation if needed & a credit or no debit to your charge card.] If there is a billing error -- they are very polite ... and on US Mountain Time .. just telephone (about 8-8pm) 1-800-262-3787 .. Option #4 then Option #3 for billing questions.
While it will work with a dial-up ... high speed options may preferable; and Ancestry does create a 'login' and 'password' for your private account use -so it's good for that high speed cafe or public library; or at work during a 'break'. Census images can be enlarged by appropriate section; and printed or saved [to disc or your desktop].
another 'tip' on that search: click 'add a person' - then use 'edit' under the entry created; and enter the relationship (optional - but Ancestry conserves your privacy - the Family Tree features are annual fee options- $39)
When a search is done -a lsit of results produces possibly: censuses; newspaper pieces; military; birth/death; when one of those is selected and on target -ie one oto keep .. or study loger -click 'save this to MyAncestry' and it will 'save' with an option to the person picked off the list. [just scroll down & click one on yours]

Cross-referencing
Example: Seeking a collateral relation of Henry Scott, I researched his sister who is 'Elizabeth Hobart Scott'. The LDS FamilySearch.org database produced a marriage of Elizabeth H. Scott in Penobscot Hancock County Maine [near the Orland Maine residence of Henry M Scott & his mother Sarah Scott] to one Menieh Sawyer in 1833.
So, Menieh Sawyer was used as an additional reseach clue for Ancestry.com's US Census records -with Elizabeth H Scott or ELizabeth Sawyer.
the record produced a 'Merrick Sawyer and an Elizabeth H. Sawyer [the ELizabeth H Scott sought in a very high probability] as man and wife .. with two sons : David & James.
this famiy was again checked in FamilySearch.org and returned a positive Pedigree record -along with more dates. Hence Elizabeth Hobart Scott - daughter of Sarah Jones & Henry Scott was born in 1808; (Sarah Jones mother's family were the Hobarts of Abington); and married Merrick Sawyer (son of Jacob Sawyer of Cape Elizabeth Maine & Elizabeth Hibbard - from the FamilySearch Pedigree file); and had at least two sons: David & James ..wih that family in the 1850 &1860 Censuses.
