| This list represents the volumes by town or city in Massachusetts which the WSPL holds in its Bowler Genealogical Collection; it is one of the largest store of these books; and publicly available in the history room -just ask on premises at the reference desk. "Eddy Trust" - a philanthropy of the Eddy Family bequest to the New England Historical Genealogical Society; funded in the 1930's the transcription of all available church, private, and public records of vital statistics: births, marriages, deaths - in every city and town of Massachusetts from the colonial period to 1850. They were commercially published .. West Springfield Public Library has one of the largest locally available collections. Where noted in numbers, more than one volume was required to represent the vital statistics. Some towns may not exist anymore; and some towns may have been created from adjoining towns. Obviously, a name in yellow means that town or city book is at the WSPL.
