I am looking for descendants of Thomas and Sarah Scott. They were the parents of five children, among them,Ashahel,who was born on July 2,1768 in Ashford, Windham Co,CT. They moved to Halifax, Windham Co,VT. Ashahel married Elizabeth Peck of New Hampshire, born Aug.29,1772. Ahahel and Elizabeth were among the first settlers of Smithfield, Bradford Co,Pa in 1810. He died there in 1823, and she in 1847
This information - along with International Genealogical Index of Henry Scott (1783 Halifax Vermont -- wed Sara Jones) as son of Thomas Scott and Sarah Hale of Ashford, Tolland Ct. confirms the likelihood rather than CT vs VT typo of Henry Scott's birthplace. Also note the other children. Thomas Scott and Sarah Hale wedding would have been about 1767-8. Thomas is listed as the son of Henry Scott of Mansfield Tolland COunty CT in 1744 (child eight by wife Mary) ... Am researching whether Henry Scott (b 1701) wwas son of Hartford County founder Thomas Scott - a co founder of Connecticut and Hartford.

Sarah Scott 1889, CHas Henry Scott(5), Henry(4), Henry(3), Thomas (2), Henry(1) --who weds Joseph A. Connolly 1906 in Portland, Maine. Sarah Scott is the only daughter with issue in Chas Scott's line via Sara Jones & Henry Scott. Mary ALice Scott died unweda and no children. Sarah Scott by Owen F. Connolly is Scott M. Connolly's grandmother.

Henry Scott and Mary [---?---] Scott descendants from Mansfield, Ct. to Ashford, Ct.. NB-Mansfield, in Tolland County had some of its lands changed in the creation of the easterly Wyndham County .. part of Mansfield is today a Ct. State Park along the Willimantic River and Ashford is the the northeast where these Scotts settled; and where our GGGG-GF Thomas Scott (#9 of 10 children below) met and married Sarah Hale of Ashford.
