..... microfilm image obscures full officant or witness name by curl of page at book center. However, name is likely that of Roman Catholic priest Joseph H. Gallagher; of 88 Norhampton Street, Boston [map]. [Name & address from "The Boston Almanac", 1874; 929.3 Mass B65BDir 1874; p.183 under heading: Clergymen] Where the priest was resident and the wedding occurred is not yet known. Holy Trinity German? or St David's of Dorchester.
In 1883 Rev Joseph Gallagher was assigned at new St Patrick's; and the wedding could have occurred at old St Patrick's which address was on Northampton Street.
While St Patrick's remained the parish name, she married at the smaller popular old church .. new St. Patrick's was larger and in construction ..Father Gallager, the officiant was referenced at Northampton Street for old St. Patrick's.
Again, the marriage record listed a Rev Gal[obscured] ..but the Boston Almanac a business directory for those year listed a Rev Gallagher at Northampton Street, St Patrick's Church, Dorchester, in the Roman Catholic clergy directory.
After the marriage, the couple lived. at least by 1880, at the 325 Columbia Street location in Grove Hill/Upham Corner section of Dorchester [now Boston] which was also the location of Daniel McCormack's blacksmith shop [cited elsewhere-Boston City Directory ..owned to at leaset 1919.]
Note-record confoundment with others for McCormack & May otherwise accurate as to people & date .. McCormack mother also listed as Margaret Catherine & Catherine Margaret ... May mother listed elsewhere as "Bridget" and"Adelia".
Example: In marriage license above, Bridget is "Delia" short for Adelia or Adeline .. as Great great grandfather allegdly preferred to call her.
Record is second transcription in State book from city records. "Ann" may also be "Cne." in original for Catherine. Church record search in progress.

Records confoundment .. Daniel F. McCormack death certificate, 1936 gives his mother as 'Margaret' surname not in present certificate : Michael & Margaret McCormack. [Note further: Coggins certificate has her born in Ireland of two parents one of which is PEI born. Could be cousin or half sister or older sister.] Daniel is PEI born 1846, she is born 1834. Marriage to Coggins in research.
Westboro, Massachusetts Town record of the death, from which the state record is compiled do not have Mary Coggins mother's maiden name ... her father's surname - Michael McCormick [ack actually] is used erroneously for the mother's surname in the State of Massachusetts record. She died at Westboro State Hospital in 1889, of epilepsy, was married. Her residence at the time of death is being researched. Note again a possible recordation error - her father is PEI born .. but she is born in Ireland, in 1834 12 years ahead of Daniel; when his father Michael would have been 16. The "Ann" if not an error may be for "Anne" MacMullen ... and lastly, Daniel's records aver both he and his parents PEI born.

Unless destroyed of missing PEI Vital statistic records at NEHGS in Boston or Charlottetown will verify. Ditto church records which for wedding by RC canon law & for baptismal of children, record wedding and birthdate & place & baptism of bride & groom & their parents. PEI adopted church records as official (all there were pre-1906) & after 1980 copied and centralide their storage at Charlottetown, PEI.Otherwise Daniel by inference of birthdate & place [census, P&P etc] is presumed the Daniel of Michael & Margaret Catherine McPhee McCormack.
[ie how many Daniels McCormack are PEI born in 1846? ... also 2 records simply list Michael & Ann McCormack as Daniel's parents .. and we have Catherine Margaret & Margaret Catherine & possibly Margaret Ann. Margaret is so common a first name in Catholic Scottish custom [after Queen margaret of Scotland] -- that the second name is used]
Daniel F. McCormack of this lineage is absolutey not Irish ..though many of McCormacks by Borders and post-1640 & post 1680 Ulster Plantation are Ireland born Scotsmen. Like many Scots, McCormacks bought or received land in Ulster Plantation after various rebellions against Crown & Parliament by Irish et al. Civil War & Stuart uprising against William. .. any McCormack should be regarded when from Ireland as Scotch-Irish. Period is replete with land forfeiture & re-distribution in Ulster & Scotland. ... nb An Anne McMullen of PEI married a Murdock MacNeil - great-grandparents of Anne Louis MacNeil-Keefe who married Charles McCormack-Daniel's son. McMullen's were settled in Queen & Kings County by the 1800's. MacNeil, MacEachern, McCormack & MacMullen among many PEI names settled in 1867+ in Essex County - North Shore [fshing communities which then migrated to Boston.
- Additional migration path for family McCormacks et al ..PEI>Essex County --Newburyport & Ipswich >> then inland upon the Merrimack-Mystic rivers to mills at Lowell (Middlesex County) ..then from Lowell to Boston. Several McCormacks in death records from Lawrence & Lowell about half from Ireland.
- This data is from the St Margaret's Roman Catholic Census 1890 ..islandregister.com. Daniel McCormack was in Boston in 1890 , another Daniel McCormack in this census is 47 (born 1843) and is another family [Census #23].
This Michael is old enough (born 1818) to be Daniel McCormack's father. Peter below is 1842 born .. however the P & P history of PEI have that Peter in San Francisco, Ca about 1860-1 ... with Joseph ...Peter there is possibly dead by 1889-92 [San Francisco "Call" record.]
