Hope this helps someone ...looking for my ggf James O'Keefe whose mother sent him over to Boston from Ireland to keep him from trouble. My grandmother was Chelsea, Ma born about 1890 -- the future Anne Louise McCormack (mother was a PEI MacNeill ..31 Gerrish St and other areas 3rd Street (West?) Chelsea. Don't know if he came into Boston, or down from PEI with MacNeils.
Will find out out the 'medical fitness' grade numbers.
- O'Keefe -Barony of Duhallow of County Cork, Munster ... headwaters near Castlerock[che] .. medieval O'Keefe seat and then capital of Munster, Ireland. [Sept Chaim] in the middle ages .. 847-940 and retreat/redoubt relinqushed after Norman conquest. ...Slanworth .. Mount Keefe .Fermon noted as ancient O'keefe stronghold ... Cashel ... capital of Munster 173-847 . [ed note O'Keefe [five counties of Munster] ruled a Danish Viking kingdom from approx .900-1066]
- "Art" is the name of an ancient King of Munster ..post Roman era before pagan revival and Danes ...variation for "Arthur".
- 1900 Census James Keefe has dropped the "O" from his surname ... also census notes that he is not Ireland-borne but Canadian born; by a Canadan father and an Irish mother.

NB ... St John's Isle is former name for Prince Edward Island. [Ile St Jean]. Lot 57 is the same lot as that of the McCormacks, and at Pisquid adjoins Lot 37 in Kings County. The MacNeils, whom our GGF Keefe married, lived in Lots 57 Vernon River, and Pisquid-Lot 37
