Dr. Benjamin Connell

Son of James and brother of Aaron, Amos, David and Maria. 

FIRST GENERATION

1.  Dr. Benjamin Connell was born in 1810 in MD.  A Benjamin F. Connell, physician, is listed in the 1891 Washington DC city directory.  The address given is 3230 N. northwest.

  He was married to Elizabeth Arnold in Washington , DC .  Per 1880 letter from John Connell.  Elizabeth Arnold was born in 1819 from Fayette Co. PA  Dr. Benjamin Connell and Elizabeth Arnold had the following children:

            +4                   iii.    Anna Connell.

            +5                    iv.    Laura Connell.

            +6                     v.    Jessie Connell.

  2.  George Connell (Benjamin-1)

  He was married to Mary Rouse.  George Connell and Mary Rouse had the following children:

3.  Robert Connell (Benjamin-1)

  He was married to Mary Stoffer.  A Mary A. Connell, widow of Robert is listed in the 1890 Washington DC City Directory.  The address given is 1507 L. northwest.  Robert Connell and Mary Stoffer had the following children:

4.  Anna Connell (Benjamin-1) Per 1880 letter from John Connell he states from Dunbar , PA ; they had four children.

  She was married to John Herron.

5.  Laura Connell (Benjamin-1)

  She was married to Arthur Talent.   Laura Connell and Arthur Talent had the following children:

              9                      i.    Arnold Talent.

            10                     ii.    Robert Talent.  Per 1880 letter from John Connell states Robert dead by 1880.

6.  Jessie Connell (Benjamin-1)  Per 1880 letter from John Connell; states from Virginia .

  She was married to Dr. Smith.   Per 1880 letter from John Connell it states that Dr. Smith is from Virginia.  Jessie Connell and Dr. Smith had the following children:

            11                      i.    Emma Smith

            12                     ii.    Dodes Smith
