Joseph Richardson was a county commissioner for Columbiana Co. 1807-1812 and State Senator 1812-1814 and State Representative 1817-18. He was appointed justice of the peace for Elkrun Township on July 8, 1808. Joseph Richardson ran for Congress in Oct. 1816 from Elkrun Township. He ran against John G. Young who received 13 votes and Joseph received 54 votes on Oct. 8th, 1816. |
