Anne, eleventh child of Amos and Anna Connell, was born December 4, 1848 in Ohio. She was eleven years old when she lost her mother in 1860. Her father remarried near her fourteenth birthday in 1863. Elizabeth, Hiram, Amos Jr. and Clementine were still living in the household at this time. Her sister, Clementine, died in 1870. Clementine was four years younger than Anne.
Anne married Jacob W. Warner on March 21, 1872 in Koscuisko Co. Indiana. (Book D:527) Jacob was born in Ohio on March 27, 1848. By 1872, Anne's siblings, Joseph, Isaac, David and Sarah had moved to Indiana.
In 1880 Jacob and Anne are living in Jackson Township, Kosciusko County and farming. Their nephew, Elson Helwig, is living with them. Her sister, Elizabeth had died in 1876 when Elson was eleven. It appears that Jacob and Anne never had any children of their own. Anne and Jacob were divorced around 1904 when Jacob took a second wife, Mrs. Anna Ganote Tucker. {Anna Ganote's sister was married to William M. Tucker, father of Will Tucker, husband of Idella Ream, granddaughter of Joseph Connell. Her sister died giving birth to Will. William M. died in 1895 of appendicitis.} Jacob W. Warner died in July 1920 at North Manchester, Indiana.
Anne made a brief stay with her brother, Hiram, in Deep River, Iowa around 1905. She then returned to Muncie, Indiana. Anne died on March 10, 1925 at Muncie, Indiana.

FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN NORTH MANCHESTER
Jacob W. Warner, a resident of South Whitley, where he was engaged in the harness business up to about sixteen years ago, died at his home in North Manchester Monday morning. The following account is taken from the North Manchester News, date of July 26: "Jacob W. Warner died about 1 o'clock this morning at his home on South Maple street. Death was caused by anaemia and came after an illness of several days, part of which time he was unconscious. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church. Rev. B.M. Beehdolt, assisted by Rev. A.L. Wright, conducted the service and burial was in Oaklawn cemetery. He was born March 27, 1848, being a little past 72 years of age at death. "He enlisted May 27, 1864, in Company E of the 138th Indiana volunteers, and served until Sept. 30, 1864, when he was discharged. He was only a little past 16 years old when he enlisted. He has been actively connected with the Grand Army post of North Manchester and has served as post commander the past three terms. He also served as town councilman for a time. "Mr. Warner first married Miss Anna Connel, from whom he was divorced. Later he married Mrs. Anna Tucker, who survives, together with a brother, George Warner, of this city, and a nephew, Elson Helwig, of Marion, Ohio, whom he raised. He was a member of the Methodist church."
