This written work provides the history of Union Chapel and Yates Cemetery, includes many images, provides approximate burial locations and a genealogical picture of decedents buried within the cemetery. We are always looking for new information to either add to or correct the written work to include adding new sections and biographies and family history or remembrances. The publication is a written version of what is found on this website and done in a PDF format. You can save this version on your home computer, e-reader or easily have it printed and spiral bound in services typical found at Staples, FedEx or similar stores. You are free to download a PDF version now and for any future updates.
The cemetery does not charge fees for burials nor is there a sustaining fund for upkeep either on the cemetery or the Chapel. This is simply the way the founders began the cemetery and things have not changed over time. You can make a difference by making a donation for a suggested donation via our "honor system" of $35 or more to support the on-going maintenance required for the cemetery and chapel for another 200 years.

The publication which follows is an update of the original work prepared by many lead and inspired by Rev. Paul Mills in 2001. Individual remembrances were gathered and distributed at the time and the author now has scanned, reconfigured and updated to the extent possible that original publication.
