Robert Cole was born Robert Johnson in Loraine, Wisconsin on June 20, 1886. His parents were Mr. Johnson (still researching this information) and Melissa Streeter. His mother, Melissa, was born in New York.
Robert married Harriet Josepine Drexel (Harriet born August 19, 1896 in New Haven, Connecticut). They had two (2) children: Harriet Drexel Cole and Roberta Louisa.
During his lifetime, Robert worked as a chauffuer for LE Bunnell Trucking Company. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 443
On August 28, 1957, at the age of 71 years old, Robert died of heart disease in New Haven, Connecticut. He was cremated, and while his obituary states that his burial was held in Gouverneur, New York his ashed were spread in Cheshire, Connecticut and this was only said in the paper because it was illegal to spread ashes at the time
