I just found your write up on John and August Redd. Very interesting, it filled in some more information on the Redd's that I didn't have.
John Redd's parents were Nathaniel and Nancy Spires ( Spears ) Redd. Nathaniel Redd was born in Va 1776 and died March 24, 1843 Fairfield Co., Ohio. Nancy born in Ohio 1796 and died July 6, 1873 Lancaster, Ohio. They had the following children:
