Thanks to Wendy Avrett jwa751 at cfl.rr.com VIRGIE M. KERSH, 94, of Huffman and formerly of Onalaska, Texas died Monday, February 9, 2009. She was born September 16, 1914 in Thornton, Texas. She was a member of Onalaska Baptist Church for seventeen years. Mrs. Kersh retired from sales at F.W. Woolworth after 27 years of services. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William "Bill" Kersh. She is survived by her daughters; Jerry Harp and husband John and Barbara Marak and husband Jay; grandchildren: Gloria, Ted, Cathy, Tracy, Steve, Mark, Michelle and Karen; fifteen great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and one nephew. Visitation with family and friends will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Advantage Howard-Glendale Chapel, 1015 Federal Road. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Advantage Howard-Glendale Chapel, with Rev. Don Wilkey officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow at 4:00 PM at Cobb Cemetery in Thornton, Texas. |
