Christopher Harris the Younger of Madison Co., KY

From an unidentified journal sent by correspondents Apr 2002 entitled
"Union City Baptist Church - 1812, Madison County, Kentucky":

"Union City Baptist Church, located at Union City, Madison County, Kentucky, was organized April 30, 1812 with 18 members.  Officiating ministers at the  organization meeting on Otter Creek were Andrew Tribble, Christopher Harris,  David Chenault, John Greenhalgh, Joseph Gentry, Robert Frier, Jesse Winburn.  The following were inscribed upon the church roll as constituting members:  Colby B. Quisenberry, Lucy Quisenberry, Samuel Denny, John Winn, Henry Wills, John Millar, Thomas Millar, Johnathan West, Jimmy Miller, Patience Miller, Polly West, Charlotte West, Phoebe Frier, Patsy Parish, Sally Burton, Mary Simmons, Martha Dozier, and Jennie, a black woman."

There is other information about later ministers, which I will share upon
request.

Many of these early Otter Creek families were intermarried, or were to be in
the future.  For example, David Chenault was married to a daughter of Andrew Tribble.  A Richard Gentry (whose parentage is unknown) was married to Jane Harris, sister of Christopher Harris.

If anyone knows the name of this journal (undated), will you please let me
know.
