MINERVA HAMMOND,  daughter  of  Frank HAMMOND SR., and Luvina FULLER was born  2 November 1900 on the old Hammond homestead near Elsie.  She married James Washington Larkins HARRIS in a double  wedding  ceremony  that  took  place  near  Woodland, Michigan. Her brother Oliver  married Florence KILPATRICK in the same  ceremony.  They  were  united  in  marriage by the Reverand  Ernest G. Lyon pastor of Kilpatrick United Brethern Church at noon, 8th June 1919. 

James and Minerva were divorced 20 May 1940. 

Minerva married in June 1940, Washington KILBREATH. He died 14 April 1941. She then married John Fred JOHNSON of Saginaw, Michigan.  Minerva  died 21 September 1962 in the hospital in Bay City,  Michigan.  John  died  26  January  1966 in Battle Creek, Michigan.  Both are buried in the  Oakwood Cemetery in Bridgeport, Michigan.

James  and  Minerva  had  five  children  all  born  in Brady Township, Michigan.

CECIL HAMMOND,  son  of  Frank HAMMOND Sr., and Luvina FULLER was  born 5 February 1903 at the old Hammond homestead. He married first  Jennie  VANETTI, 24 October 1925.  Jennie died during the childbirth of their fourth child, Sandra Jane Hammond.  Cecil  married for his second  wife, Ellen (HOY) HAMMOND.  She  was  Emerson  Hammond's former wife.  Cecil and Ellen moved to Burr Oak, Michigan and Cecil died 26 May 1967 in Sturgis, Michigan.

Cecil and Jennie had four children.

4. Sandra Jane Hammond   b.  2 Sept 1936

Cecil and Ellen had one child.

EMERSON HAMMOND,  son of Frank HAMMOND SR., and Luvina FULLER was born 25 Mar 1905 on the old Hammond homestead. He married Ellen  HOY in  1927.  Emerson  and Ellen were divorced and Emerson moved to Traverse City,  Michigan  where he  remained the  balance of his life.  He died  on 21 March 1970.  Ellen married Cecil Hammond a few years after the divorce.  Emerson and Ellen had five children.

VADNEW (Vadney) HAMMOND, daughter of Frank HAMMOND SR., and Luvina FULLER was born on 4 August 1907 on the old Hammond homestead.  She  married  Antonio  CUSENZA 13 Feb 1922.  They moved to Flint, Michigan where Tony was employed at the Buick Motor Car Company. Tony died 28 February 1954. Vadnew married Melvin BOUFORD after the death of her first husband. She died on 9 August 1971. Vadnew and Antonio had six children.

CHARLES HAMMOND, son of Frank HAMMOND SR., and Luvina FULLER was born at the old Hammond homestead near Elsie,  Michigan. He married Lila Lavina MITCHELL on 6 March 1936 in Ashley, Michigan. She was born 26 February 1920. They lived in Flint, Michigan where Charles worked for the Buick Motor Car Company. He bought a farm in Big Rapids and farmed for a while. They now live in Riverdale, Michigan which is north and west of Alma,  Michigan.  The 54th Hammond Reunion (1991) was  held  at  Charles' home.  Charles is the last of Frank Hammond Sr's  children still  alive at this writing (1991).  Charles and Lila had four children.

CHRISTY HAMMOND, son and youngest child of Frank HAMMOND Sr., and  Luvina  FULLER  was born 9 March 1913 on the old Hammond homestead near Elsie, Michigan. He married Margaret MONTAGUE. They were divorced in September, 1953 and he married Ruth SUTHERBY 15 September 1953.  She  had  a  child by a previous marriage,  Donna  SUTHERBY, born 17 October 1941.  Christy and Margaret Montague had three children.

LEE SMITH,  son  of Adelaide HAMMOND and Charles W. SMITH was born 12  November 1876  in  Laingsburg,  Michigan. He married Grace FRITZ 17 September 1902. She was born 18 February 1879. Lee  and Grace  lived  all their married life in Detroit. Lee died 21 September 1952. They had three children.

JAY SMITH,  son  of Adelaide HAMMOND and Charles W. SMITH was born 3 September  1879  in  Laingsburg,  Michigan. He married Dora WOOD 10 September 1901. She  was born  28 July 1879. Jay operated a  bus  and  transfer service for many years. He had the express  office  for  many  years.  Jay served as Gratiot
County Sherriff for  one  term.  Later  he went into the coal business and  operated his own coal yard. He died 14 November 1952  and  Dora  died  26  March  1969,  both  in  St. Louis, Michigan. They had three children.

JEAN SMITH, son of Adelaide HAMMOND and Charles W.  SMITH was born  29  September 1884  in  St. Louis, Michigan. He married Edith STEELE  of  St. Louis,  in  November 1902. Edith died a young woman in 1932. Jean was a  mail carrier for many years. He also operated a  small  garden  truck  farm outside of St.
Louis.  He  later  worked  at  a  chicken hatchery. After his wife's  death  he  married _______? _________? Jean and Edith had four children.

FREDERIC GOLD HAMMOND,  son  of  Frederic  Waite  HAMMOND and
Nellie Gold RUST  was  born  21 Mar 1913 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He married Gladys Elizabeth ROLL 27 Dec 1936. She was born 18 April 1910, daughter of Edward D. and Mary Elizabeth (SPIECE) ROLL.  Edward D.  ROLL  was  born 19 Nov 1868 and died 18 Aug 1956.  Mary Elizabeth  ROLL  was born 30 Jan 1874 and died 20 Nov  1949.  Frederic  and  Gladys  were  married  in  Lawton,
Oklahoma.   Frederic was a  concrete contractor. He died 7 Oct 1967. Fred and Gladys had three children.

EDWIN BRANT HAMMOND,  son of Roscoe B. HAMMOND and Pearl Inez
HAMLEY was born 13 March 1906 at Winfield, Kansas. He married Frances HASSINGER 5 May 1928. She was born 12 October 1906 at Americus, Kansas.  Edwin was employed by the Santa Fe Railway as  an  auditor  of  passenger  accounts in Topeka. Edwin and Frances had two children both born in Topeka.

AVIS PEARL HAMMOND,  daughter  of Roscoe B. HAMMOND and Pearl Inez HAMLEY  was  born  25 December 1907 at Winfield, Kansas. She married  Edgar E. STEWART  1 January 1960.  He was born 9 May 1900 at Hoyt, Kansas. This marraige was very short; Edgar died  18 November 1961.  Avis married 2nd Lawrence F. LAUE 10 August 1964. He was born 3 September 1904 at Hanover, Kansas. 

Avis  was  employed  by  the  Santa Fe Railway in the auditor department of the  frieght  accounts from Dec 1926 until Sept 1941 when  she  went  to  Washington, D.C. and worked for the government for  five  years during World War II. She returned to Topeka and worked  for  Forbes  Air Force Base for fifteen years. M r. Laue  retired  in January 1967 and they spent that winter in Florida.  In 1967-1968  the  were in Mesa, Arizona. The winter of 1968-1969 they spent in  Harlingen, Texas. Avis had no issue by either husband.

DEAN ARTHUR HAMMOND,  son  of  Roscoe Brant HAMMOND and Pearl
Inez HAMLEY  was  born  27  May 1919 in Winfield, Kansas.  He married  Mary Margaret McGUIRE 5 August 1943. She was born in Beaumont, Texas.  In 1923 they moved to Topeka, Kansas.  Dean was always  interested  in  flying  and  while still in High school he earned his pilots  license. He  served in the Civil Air Patrol during World War II.  He then  joined the U.S. Air Force and was a pilot. He is now a pilot for Southern Airways and flies out of Memphis, Tennessee. They had three children.

WILLIAM HENRY QUINETTE II,  son  of  Blanche C.  HAMMOND and William H. QUINETTE Sr.,  was  born 22 May 1902 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  He  married  Janice  TRUMP 8  Dec  1923 at Urbana, Illinois. She was  born  21  July  1901  in  Covington, Ohio. William is a  tax consultant in Denver, Colorado. Janice died 6 February 1963 in Denver. They had two children.

DOROTHY GRACE QUINETTE,  daughter  of  Blanche C. HAMMOND and
William H. QUINETTE Sr., was born 20 April 1905 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. She married  Theodore AMPHLETT in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born 28 November  1901  in  Chicago,  Illinois, son of Fred Joseph AMPHLETT and Jessie May (COOK) AMPHLETT. Theodore is a draftman (cartographer). They had two children.

2. Elizabeth Louise Amphlett  b.  2 May 1934
 

ELIZABETH LORA QUINETTE,  daughter  of Blanche C. HAMMOND and William H. QUINETTE Sr.,  was  born  19  July 1910 at Lawton, Oklahoma.  She  married  John  Eben  BIRD II  in  Fort  Knox, Kentucky. He was the son of  John Williamson  BIRD  and  Anna (HURLEY)  BIRD   (1880-1966).  John  Eben  Bird  was  an  oil geologist. Elizabeth and John had two children.

ADELE MILLEN HAMMOND, daughter of Carlton H. HAMMOND and Caro
Marie  (MILLEN)  HAMMOND  was  born 29 August 1909 at Lawton, Oklahoma. Adele was a  great  help to her parents, her mother being crippled  by  rheumatoid arthritis. Adele work for many years at Fort  Sill as  administrative secretary to the Chief of  Staff.  She  lives  at  1212  Lake  Ave. Lawton, OK 73501 She never married and had no issue.    

FLORENCE ADELAIDE HAMMOND,  daughter of Gerald D. HAMMOND and
Florence M. THOMAS  was  born  26  April  1908  at Woodville, Oregon. She married Louis THOLE. Louis was a farmer. They had no issue.   

MARTHA LOUISE HAMMOND,   daughter  of  Gerald D.  HAMMOND and
Florence M.  THOMAS  was  born  12  June  1909  at O-Bar, New Mexico. She married Cecil B. SMITH 8 August 1928. He was born 8 April 1905. Cecil was a pharmacist and a farmer.  He died 3 Oct 1963. Cecil and Martha had three children.

2. Stanton Luther Smith       b. 24 Apr 1939 Stafford, KS
3. Martha Geraldine Smith     b.  5 Feb 1941 Stafford, KS  

GERALDINE RUTH HAMMOND,   daughter  of  Gerald D. HAMMOND and
Florence M. THOMAS was born 23 November 1941  at  Hutchinson, Kansas. She married Horace Reynolds COLLINS 28 November 1935. He was born 18 October 1909  in  St. Joseph, Missouri. Horace retired from the army as a  Colonel. He graduated from Kansas State University in  Veterinary  Medicine  and  was  a career
officer in the U.S. Veterinary Corps. He retired in 1960 as a lieutenant Colonel and moved to San Angelo, Texas. Horace and Geraldine had three children.

GERTRUDE SAREPTA VAUGHAN, daughter of Gertrude E.C. DALEY and
William H. VAUGHAN  was  born 11 February 1898 at Emmetsburg, Iowa.  Gertrude  was an organ and piano player for many years and teaches pupils in  her home. She never married.

WILLIAM GERALD VAUGHAN,   son  of  Gertrude  E.C.  DALEY  and William  H. VAUGHAN was born 16 September 1899 at Emmetsburg, Iowa. He married Ruby Icle LEONARD 23 Oct 1923.  She was born 17 December 1901.  William was a  tailor and in business with his father and then when his father retired, with his brother
James Leonard Vaughan. He sold out  to James in 1947 and went to Glidden,  Iowa  where  he started a dry cleaning business. Ruby  died 6 June 1967  in  Glidden.  They  had six children.
