Amelia grew up in Northern Michigan when her parents moved there on arriving in America, when she was three. The first record found is her marriage certificate on 22 November 1882, whe she married William Talbot(Tielbut). Nothing is known about Amelia until 1891, when she and Wm. Talbot got a land grant from the government of 68 acres in Ocqueoc. On the 13 November 1901, they sold the farm to Amelia's brother Ferdinand Jr. According to Aunt Betsy, the family then moved to Augres, Mi. until 1906, when they moved Bic, Quebec for one year. It is here that Amelia gave birth to James Edward in Bic, Quebec, and moved back to Upper Michigan with the baby.

and mother moved back to Michigan. Father bought a house and
contents
from John Barbour in Dunlop, N.B. and August 1910 sold it to Chester
Lindsey.
Some of the children stayed in Bathurst and Dunlop, and the younger
ones
stayed with father, he bought a house in Roslin, N.S. There father left
the children and took Enos with him. In Roslin, N.S. Bill and the
youngest ones lived in the old farm house. Lottie, Lester and
Daisy
stayed here. Bill would supply them with groceries. Lester
has scars on his left arm and side where he was scalded in N.S.
Bill's
daughter Betsy knew him in Sask. and this is what Lester conveyed to
people
in the institution in Sask.
