He married Elizabeth BELL August 25, 1801 in Eaton, Preble County, Ohio.

He was baptized 1775 at the Baptist Church in Elizabeth, Essex County, New Jersey.

James SUTTON and Elizabeth BELL had the following children:

+ 251 i. Jacob⁷ SUTTON was born June 2, 1802.

+ 252 ii. Isaac Alva SUTTON was born April 1805.
