Kittie M.⁹ DOTY (George Wood⁸, Samuel S.⁷, Elizabeth⁶ SUTTON, Uriah⁵, Zebulon⁴, Daniel³, William², George¹) was born in Union, Union County, New Jersey May 30, 1872.⁽³⁶⁸⁾ Kittie died February 20, 1949 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, Union County, New Jersey at 76 years of age.⁽³⁶⁹⁾ She was interred February 1949 at Connecticut Farms Churchyard, Section I in Union, Union County, New Jersey.⁽³⁷⁰⁾

She married John Ball BUNNELL October 18, 1893 in Union, Union County, New Jersey.⁽³⁷¹⁾ John was born June 19, 1871. John died March 23, 1965 at 93 years of age. He was interred March 1965 at Connecticut Farms Churchyard, Section I in Union, Union County, New Jersey.⁽³⁷²⁾

The following obituary appeared in the February 21, 1949 edition of the Elizabeth Daily Journal newspaper:

MRS. JOHN B. BUNNELL, 76, WAS PROMINENT IN UNION

SPRINGFIELD, Feb. 21. - Mrs. Kittie M. Bunnell, 76 years old, wife of John B. Bunnell, of 12 Flemer avenue, died yesterday in Overlook Hospital, Summit, of a heart ailment after a short illness.

A native of Union, Mrs. Bunnell had lived there more than fifty years. Six generations of her family had lived in Union. She had been a resident of Short Hills and later of Springfield for the past two decades. Her husband was one of the organizers of the First National Bank, of Milburn.

Mrs. Bunnell was active in the affairs of the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church, Union, for many years. She served as president of the Woman's Association of the church and was Superintendent of the Home Department. She was educated in Union Township schools.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy B. Schnure, of Sparrows Point, Md., two sons, Robert S. Bunnell, Union, president of the First National Bank of Springfield and of Bunnell Bros., Inc., Springfield insurance firm, and Richard T., of Springfield, secretary of the firm, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The funeral will be from the Connecticut Farms Church.

Kittie M. DOTY and John Ball BUNNELL had the following children:

+ 386 ii. Robert Street BUNNELL was born November 20, 1895.

+ 387 iii. Richard Tice BUNNELL was born June 9, 1900.
