375. Samuel C.9 DOTY (John H.8, Samuel S.7, Elizabeth6 SUTTON, Uriah5, Zebulon4, Daniel3, William2, George1) was born in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York March 8, 1869. Samuel died December 7, 1958 at Bay Avenue & Whitty Road in Toms River, Ocean County, New Jersey at 89 years of age.(373) He was interred December 11, 1958 at Evergreen Cemetery, Section B-3, Lot 527, Grave 3 in Hillside, Union County, New Jersey.(374)

He married twice. He married Mary H. MCFARLAND circa 1895. Mary was born October 1866 in Ireland. Mary died November 1934 at 68 years of age. She was interred November 5, 1934 at Evergreen Cemetery, Section B-3, Lot 527, Grave 2 in Hillside, Union County, New Jersey.(375) He married Charlotte (--------) circa 1945 in New Jersey. Charlotte was born February 11, 1876 in Germany. Charlotte died March 31, 1959 at Pinehaven Sanitarium in Berkeley Township, Ocean County, New Jersey at 83 years of age.(376) She was cremated April 4, 1959 at Rosehill Crematory in Linden, Union County, New Jersey.(377)

CHARLOTTE DOTY

TOMS RIVER - Charlotte Doty, 83, of Bay Avenue and Whitty Road, died Tuesday. She was the wife of the late Samuel C. Doty.

Mrs. Doty was born in Germany and came to this country in 1887. She had been a resident of Toms River for the past six years. Prior to that she resided in Newark.

Survivors are a son, Richard Otto, Maplewood; a granddaughter, Mrs. Lionel O'Hare, Toms River; a grandson, John M. Clayton, Toms River, and three great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 10 A. M. Saturday at the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home. Rev. A. G. VanDyke will officiate. Cremation will be at Rosehill Crematory, Linden.

SAMUEL C. DOTY

TOMS RIVER - Samuel C. Doty, 90, of Bay Avenue and Whitty Road, here, died in his home Sunday.

Mr. Doty was born in Dutchess County, N.Y., and had lived in Toms River for the past six years. He spent most of his life in Elizabeth and Hillside.

He was a retired Railway Express Agent, at one time being station agent in Morristown.

He was a member of the Cincinnati Lodge. No. 3, F. and A. M. of Morristown.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte. of Toms River, and a step-son, Richard Otto, Maplewood, and two grandchildren.

Services will be held this morning at 11 o'clock in the Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Rev. A. G. VanDyke officiating. Masonic services were held last night at the funeral home by Harmony Lodge, No. 13. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Elizabeth.

Myra Charlotte Doty, aged 11 years and 9 months, died from typhoid fever last night, at the home of her parents, Samuel C. and Mary H. Doty, 18 Cherry street. She had been a pupil there six years and was in Room 7. Her death was announced to her classmates this morning.
