Charles Townley⁸ SHIPMAN (Horace Aaron⁷, Aaron⁶, Joseph⁵, John⁴, David³, John², Edward¹) was born in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey June 6, 1854.⁽⁴⁰⁸⁾ Charles died April 27, 1933 237 North Arlington Avenue in East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey at 78 years of age. He was interred April 29, 1933 at Fairmount Cemetery, in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey.

He married Daisy ADAMS April 11, 1883 in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey.⁽⁴⁰⁹⁾ Daisy was born August 4, 1865 in New York.

Charles Townley SHIPMAN and Daisy ADAMS had the following children:
