4. William² SHIPMAN (Edward¹) was born in Saybrook, Connecticut June 1656.⁽¹⁰⁾ William died September 9, 1725 in Hebron, Hartford County, Connecticut at 69 years of age.

He married Alice HAND November 26, 1690 in Saybrook, New Haven County, Connecticut.⁽¹¹⁾ Alice was born 1670 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.

William SHIPMAN and Alice HAND had the following children:

19 i. William³ SHIPMAN.

20 ii. John SHIPMAN.

21 iii. Edward SHIPMAN was born in Saybrook, New Haven County, Connecticut March 20, 1691/2.⁽¹²⁾

+ 22 iv. Benjamin SHIPMAN was born December 17, 1693.

23 v. Daniel SHIPMAN was born in Hebron, Hartford County, Connecticut October 27, 1698.

24 vi. Stephen SHIPMAN was born 1699. Stephen died January 28, 1746/7 at 47 years of age.

+ 25 vii. Samuel SHIPMAN was born March 15, 1701/2.

26 viii. Alice SHIPMAN was born 1704.

27 ix. Mary SHIPMAN was born in Hebron, Hartford County, Connecticut March 11, 1706/7.

28 x. Sarah SHIPMAN was born June 7, 1709.

29 xi. Temperance SHIPMAN. She married William SWEETLAND circa 1733.
