197. Joseph⁶ SHIPMAN (Samuel⁵, Sarah⁴ DOTY, Benjamin³, Edward², Edward¹) was born in Connecticut December 23, 1779. Joseph died March 9, 1859 at 79 years of age.

He married Mary (--------) circa 1802 in Connecticut.

Joseph SHIPMAN and Mary (--------) had the following children:

+ 253 ii. Mary Lee SHIPMAN was born April 14, 1805.

+ 254 iii. Elisa SHIPMAN was born February 18, 1807.

+ 255 iv. Abigail Goodrich SHIPMAN was born October 13, 1809.

+ 256 v. Horatio Waldo SHIPMAN was born September 10, 1811.

+ 257 vi. Orpha SHIPMAN was born December 12, 1813.
