146. Samuel⁵ SHIPMAN (Sarah⁴ DOTY, Benjamin³, Edward², Edward¹) was born in Saybrook, New Haven County, Connecticut September 3, 1750. Samuel died March 12, 1826 in New Britain, Hartford County, Connecticut at 75 years of age.

He married Sarah STANCLIFF February 14, 1773 in Chatham, Hartford County, Connecticut. Sarah was born April 1, 1750. Sarah died November 16, 1823 in New Britain, Hartford County, Connecticut at 73 years of age.

Samuel SHIPMAN and Sarah STANCLIFF had the following children:

194 i. Hannah⁶ SHIPMAN was born in Connecticut September 18, 1773. Hannah died August 19, 1828 in Connecticut at 54 years of age.

195 ii. Lucy SHIPMAN was born in Connecticut September 27, 1775.

196 iii. Samuel SHIPMAN was born in Connecticut January 14, 1777. Samuel died May 25, 1823 in Connecticut at 46 years of age.

+ 197 iv. Joseph SHIPMAN was born December 23, 1779.

198 v. Sally SHIPMAN was born in Connecticut January 22, 1783.

199 vi. Chauncey SHIPMAN was born in Connecticut February 4, 1789.
