48. Elizabeth4 BAKER (Thomas3, Thomas2, Thomas1) was born circa 1713. Elizabeth died before 1755.
She married Samuel BROOKS. Samuel was born 1717. Samuel was the son of Philip BROOKS. Samuel died March 4, 1788 at 70 years of age. He was interred March 1788 at Baptist Churchyard, in Scotch Plains, Essex County, New Jersey.(159) The will of Samuel Brooks (Lib. 31, page 226) of Elizabeth Township, Essex County, NJ dated 7 March 1788 and proved 3 May 1788 makes bequests to his wife Hannah; grandsons Samuel Brooks Miller, Noah Miller, and Eli Miller; nephew Samuel Bryant. It reserves for his daughter, Elizabeth Shotwell, the use of what his son-in-law Benjamin Shotwell may owe to his estate. His grandson Samuel Brooks Miller, who receives the bulk of his estate, is directed to support his mother Elizabeth Shotwell, if she should need it. His wife Hannah, grandson Samuel Brooks Miller, and friend William Darby are named executors.
