Samuel died October 5, 1786 in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York at 53 years of age. He was interred October 1786 at the North End Burial Ground, in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.⁽¹⁸⁰⁾

He married twice. He married Joanna DAYTON 1755. Joanna was born 1737 in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York. Joanna was the daughter of Nathan DAYTON. Joanna died October 5, 1763 in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York at 26 years of age. She was interred October 1763 at the South End Burial Ground, in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.⁽¹⁸¹⁾ She was baptized March 27, 1737 in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.⁽¹⁸²⁾ He married Abigail SHAW 1764. Abigail was born circa 1739. Abigail died November 21, 1813 at 74 years of age.

He was baptized May 6, 1733 in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.⁽¹⁸³⁾

Samuel BAKER and Joanna DAYTON had the following children:

146 i. Thomas⁵ BAKER was born in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York March 19, 1756.

147 ii. Joanna BAKER was born in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York April 21, 1758.

148 iii. Amy BAKER was born in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York July 18, 1760.

149 iv. Nathan BAKER was born in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York January 31, 1763. Nathan died June 20, 1763 in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York at less than one year of age. He was interred June 1763 at the South End Burial Ground, in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.⁽¹⁸⁴⁾

Samuel BAKER and Abigail SHAW had the following children:

+ 150 v. Abraham BAKER was born January 7, 1766.

151 vi. Ruth BAKER was born 1767. Ruth died April 22, 1775 at 7 years of age. She was interred April 1775 at the North End Burial Ground, in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York.⁽¹⁸⁵⁾

152 vii. Sarah BAKER was born 1769. She married Henry EDWARDS 1791.

153 viii. Nathaniel BAKER was born September 24, 1771.

154 ix. Lewis BAKER was born February 8, 1777.

155 x. Hannah BAKER was born February 8, 1780.
