Lewis⁵ BAKER (Nathaniel⁴, Daniel³, Nathaniel², Thomas¹) was born in Westfield, Essex County, New Jersey August 15, 1751.⁽³²⁵⁾ Lewis died November 24, 1830 in Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey at 79 years of age.⁽³²⁶⁾ He was interred November 1830 at Parsippany Cemetery, Section 2 in Parsippany, Morris County, New Jersey.⁽³²⁷⁾

He married Elizabeth SAYRE December 31, 1772 in Westfield, Essex County, New Jersey.⁽³²⁸⁾ Elizabeth was born January 18, 1753.⁽³²⁹⁾ Elizabeth was the daughter of Jonathan SAYRE. Elizabeth died February 28, 1826 in Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey at 73 years of age.⁽³³⁰⁾ She was interred March 1826 at Parsippany Cemetery, Section 2 in Parsippany, Morris County, New Jersey.⁽³³¹⁾

A division of real estate made by Morris County Orphans' Court July 1832 (Docket SA29) confirms that daughters Sarah Johnson, Catherine Wheeler, Abigail Young, Polly Howell and Jane Elkins plus sons Nathaniel and Lewis Baker survived him. The record names sons Daniel, Abraham and Lineas Baker as deceased, leaving children.

+ 292 iv. Daniel BAKER was born January 23, 1780.

293 v. Abraham BAKER was born in New Jersey March 12, 1782. Abraham died 1816 in New York at 34 years of age.

+ 294 vi. Mary (Polly) BAKER was born July 25, 1784.

+ 295 vii. Lineas BAKER was born July 31, 1786.

+ 296 viii. Jane BAKER was born September 2, 1789.

297 ix. Nathaniel BAKER was born in New Jersey February 2, 1791. Nathaniel died 1864 at 73 years of age. He married Elenor CARTER December 31, 1814 in Union, Essex County, New Jersey.⁽³³²⁾ Elenor was born circa 1795.
