Sept. 1827.

Said Samuel bequeathed to his grandson Saml. Ferguson and his heirs all the houses in the possession of him and his mother, with the three adjoining fields, the far mount field, the bog field and one acre to be taken off the field at the end of the garden occupied by his said grandson and his mother, for the support of his grandson and sister until they reach the age of 21. Should his daughter-in-law Mary Ferguson marry she would give up all rights, and the land set to the best advantage by his solicitors. Should said Samuel die without issue then to his sons [said Samuel senior's] John Ferguson and Archd. Ferguson and their heirs, share and share alike, they paying to his granddaughter Sarah Ferguson £60. To said Archd. the remainder of the upper part of his farm bounded by one field touching Mr Mollan's land to Thomas Whyte's mearing bounded on the north by the bog ditch with the 'far Lousy Now'. To his son John the old meadow together with the rest of said farm not otherwise disposed of. Neither son should sell his portion without giving preference to his brother. Exors. Mr James Swan and his nephew John Ferguson.

Witnesses: Alexander Grier, Lyleshill, tutor, since deceased, Abel Brown then of Muchomore, farmer, but now of Belfast, merchant, and Wm. Ferguson, then of Rathbeg, farmer, since deceased, all in Antrim.
