Dr. A.R. FERGUSON, Ballville township, was born in Trumbull county,
Ohio, on September 20, 1814, a son of Samuel FERGUSON and Mary RALSTON. Samuel
FERGUSON was born in Antrim, county, Ireland, and came to America with his
parents when he was 16 years of age, settling in Beaver county,

James FERGUSON was born in county Antrim and came to America with his
parents James FERGUSON and Mary STRAIN, when he was only four years of age.
They landed at Charleston and first located at what is known as Strawberry
Ferry, SC, prior to the Revolution, however, they removed to Laurens county, SC
