Driscoll of Cork
Roll Call: Judy Boguski

My John Driscoll and wife, Anna Carey Driscoll, imigrated in 1836 along with 3 yr old Jeremiah. Stayed in New York til 1847 working at or on the Fort Schuyler project at Throg's Neck. It was there that my grt grandfather, John was born. In 1847 they came to Wisconsin , where John Sr. was involved with the school system and in local politics. Their homestead is still standing. Their headstone claims he and Anna were from County Cork. From the Tithe records in 1831 I have found a Carey family and an O'Driscoll family in the near vicinity of Skibbereen. Have not been able to find any actual proof if this is a connection or not. No marriage or baptism records found so far. Have found most of the offspring of all children and they know less than I do.
