My 2nd great grandfather was Peter Driscoll from Skibbereen, Cork, Ireland. His parents were Peter Driscoll and Mary Dunnivan. He was born August 15, 1820. He married Helena Harris, daughter of William Harris and Katherine O'Connell, who was born December 16, 1841 in either Ireland or England (I have census records that say both). Based on the birthdates of some of their children who were born in Skibbereen they were married about 1860 and immigrated to the United States about 1868 as their daughter Mary Jane was born in Virginia in 1868. Both Peter and Helena are buried in Seattle, Washington, USA.
