My ancestor, John Driscol, immigrated to the Am. sometime before 1793 so I am able to learn very little about him before his arrival in Pa. and settlement in Ohio. My John is not, seemingly, of the Driskell branch which settled first in Md. and has, as it's initial patriarch, Denes. My ancestor, as the story goes, came to Am. to avoid becoming a priest.
