I have found two Driscoll's in my tree. Patrick Driscoll was born in Ireland circa 1812. He was my paternal great,great grandfather. He came to this country in 1842 according to his Civil War record. He was married at the time. His wife was Catherine Donovan. He lived to be 92 and died in Greenfield Mass. where I live.He fought in the Irish Brigade and was wounded. I have his death certificate. He is buried in the same cemetery as my father, grandfather, and great grandfather. On my mother's side, There is a Mary Driscoll. She is listed as the wife of Patrick Leyden. She would be my maternal great,great grandmother. Her son Thomas Leyden came to America in the 1860's. He was born in Ireland Jan.1,1841 and died in Springfield, Mass. on Feb.16,1913.He was married to Winifred McDonough, possibly in Ireland. I have no idea of where in Ireland these Driscolls were born.
