My ggg-grandfather Timothy DRISCOLL and Catherine HARRINGTON married Jan. 22, 1833, by Fr. Timothy Collins C.C. with witnesses James Harrington (Caobach or Cebugh) and Tim Hanley. Some notes on Timothy follow:

• According to naturalization record:
  • Born August 15, 1806, in Berehaven, County Cork, Ireland.
  • Arrived in U.S. on or about July 17, 1840.
  • Occupation: Cordwainer (shoemaker)
  • Witnesses: John Cahill and John Curran, both of Randolph.
  • Citizenship granted on October 20, 1852.
• Mass. Soldier, Sailors, & Marines of Civil War, published in 1890, Vol III, pg 672-
  • Timothy Driscoll, 45 (apparently lied about his age), enlisted July 31, 1862, mustered Aug. 19, 1862, Discharged May 5, 1863 from Fort Monroe , VA on disability. Shown as from Randolph and a boot maker. 35th Mass. Volunteer Infantry Regiment.
• Same reference series, Vol. VII
  • shows him reenlisting on September 30, 1863 for a 3 year term. Mustered May 2, 1864 . Discharged September 5, 1866, Private Independent Company, V.R.C.
• Mass. Volunteers, War 1861-65 Vols. I&2, Published 1868 by the Adjutant General's Office, also shows Timothy Driscoll, 35th Reg. Co. E, Mass. Vol. Infantry.
• Timothy died c 1872
