Driscoll DNA Project Ancestry of Kit No. 61687

Earliest known ancestor James Driscoll b.~1812, Ireland.

My g-grandfather came to New Zealand from Poplar, Middlesex, England in 1873. He called himself Florance PAUL. He used the name Driscoll as middle name once here when he registered a child.

Many years of research later I've found enough to conclude he was born and baptised in Poplar in 1835 as Florance DRISCOLL to James DRISCOLL and Joanna (in Latin) nee PAUL. I'm fairly sure I have found them in the 1851 census and it shows James and Joanna/Jane as born in Ireland. It would put James birth year as circa 1812.
