Nebraska
- St. Philip Neri Parish - Father Timothy O'Driscoll, was named Pastor late in 1918. Father O'Driscoll was born in County Cork, Ireland in 1876; he attended All Hallow's College in Dublin where he was ordained in 1902. He came directly to Nebraska and served in several locations before arriving at St. Philip Neri, where he stayed until his death in 1930.

  - John Driscoll personally appeared before the subscriber, the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the State of Wisconsin, for said county, being a Court of Record, and made oath that he was born in Ireland, on or about the year 1830, that he immigrated to the United States, and landed at the port of New York on or about the month of June in the year 1853. That it is bona fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Queen of Gt. Britian.

- Transport record dated March 8, 1679 says, Phillip Poplestone, Master of the ship Encrease arrived Maryland (Talbot Co.) from Yougall, County Cork, IRE.
  - In his catalogue of servants Phillip lists, among others, Cornel Driskole.
  - Gale Bramlett's Note: No other Driskoles on the list so I presume Cornel/Cornelius came alone. I have found a William Driskell in Talbot Co. b.ca1680's:d.aft 1733, but (to date) no other mention of Cornel.

Foreword: The purpose of this publication is to bring together into one volume all known naturalization records for Mobile from the earliest extant record (1833) to the implementation of the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1906.

Approximately 7000 names are included in the publication, fewer than five are female. This is related to the fact that early laws did not require wives or minor children to apply for citizenship if the husband/father made the application.

  - MAJOR DANIEL O'DRISCOLL, one of the most prominent criminal lawyers of the District of Columbia bar, was instantly killed Sept. 8 by an express train of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Major O'Driscoll came to the United States from Ireland and served throughout the civil war, losing a leg at the battle of Chancellorsville.
